5th National English Carnival 2019

IFIC Bank presents 5th National English Carnival powered by The Daily Star took place from February 7th to 9th, 2019.

The carnival was bigger and better than all the previous ones upholding the legacy with the sight of expanding the love of English. This time the mainspring of the carnival was, "Live The Legacy". More than 3500 students from all around the country participated in this carnival in 15 astounding events. Participants from all the four categories had to pay 100 TK per person to register themselves for this event. Each of them were presented with certificate of participants for participating in the carnival. This time, the event Word Play was arranged in a different way. Participants had to go through four segments- Crosswords, Anagrams, Guess the Word & Word Finder. NDEC launched two whole new & special events in this carnival. Those are- Game of Thrones Quiz & Mega Quiz. These two events were the main attraction for the GOT- nerds & the quizzers.

The carnival ended with an ostentatious prize giving ceremony. Professor Tahmina Ahmed, Dept. of English, Dhaka University was the chief guest and Md. Nurul Hasnat DMD and Head of Business, IFIC Bank and Md. Tajdin Hassan, Chief Strategy and Digital Transformation Officer, The Daily Star were the special guests of the closing cerdmony. Finally, the carnival ended with the mesmerizing performance of the 'Fused' .
