4th National English Carnival

The Bank Asia presents 4th National English Carnival powered by The Daily Star took place from 1st to 3rd February 2018.

The mainspring of this season was Encounter Of Greats. Around Five Thousand enthusiastic learners from all over the country participated in 16 different events in this glorious festival including Spell Master, Extempore Speech, Wordplay, Anagram, Turn Coat, Parody News Reading, Wall magazine, Literature Quiz and many more in 3 different categories from Primary, Secondary and College. The top 3 participants from each category were awarded distinct crests and certificates by our honourable guests.

Brian O' Connchubhair, PhD, Director, Center for the study of Language and Culture, University of Notre Dame, Indiana, USA and Patrick D. Gaffney, CSC, Vice-Chancellor, Notre Dame University Bangladesh were the chief guests of the closing ceremony. Md. Arfan Ali, President& Managing DIrector, Bank Asia Limited and Md. Tajdin Hassan, Chief Strategy & Digital Transformation Officer, The Daily Star were the Special guests.
